I've shamelessly swiped this from Tom over at Fantasy Ink. It's still St. Patrick's Day so I wanted to showcase this painting by one of my favourite artists, Walter Baumhofer entitled: "Grace O'Malley, Ireland's Pirate Queen." It was an illustration for Argosy magazine.
I love the way he depicts Grace O'Malley. She reminds me of a certain firebrand Irish-descended woman that I married many happy years ago.
