My wife sent this to me on my facebook:

My wife is the best. She loves me so much and knows how to appeal to the geek in me.

I've been here and there. I've drawn a lot of pictures. I've written a bit, too. I'm not good at this self-promotion thing. Look, you want to know about me? just visit these websites. Okay?

I have always believed that Shatner has always been in on the joke. That allowed him to do goofy things like this ego free. I used to wish he had died right after 'Star Trek' to preserve him as Captain Kirk forever. Now I am glad I have been able to enjoy him all these years. What a great pop cultural icon he has become. I loved him as Denny Crane on Boston Legal because no one can spoof on Shatner LIKE Shatner.

I'm sure he's in on the joke now, and probably was when he made this video. At the time he put out the album in the sixties it was only bacause Leonard Nimoy had put out a record.

You gotta hand it to Shatner, though. The fact that he couldn't sing never stopped him from actually having a singing career. He did everything else, he just sidestepped the actual singing part. Is that ego, or what?

I loved him as Danny Crane and he's funny in S**t My Dad Says.

I can't believe I've never seen this before! Shatner ruled then and he still rules!
