31 DAYS OF HALLOWEEN - DAY 4

The Lady is a Witch by Norman A Daniels is a complete novel published in Startling Stories in March 1950. Daniels did yoeman work as a pulp writer, even writing a few issues of Doc Savage (under the house name Kenneth Robeson, of course).

The cover art for the story is by Earle Bergey (1901-1952). I love this cover. Startling Stories was one of my favourite pulp magazines and this cover is a doozy. It has little to do with the novel that it is supposed to illustrate but I`m betting it sold a buttload of copîes that month.

The interior illustrations were pen-and-ink drawings by the legendary Virgil Finlay.

I've been here and there. I've drawn a lot of pictures. I've written a bit, too. I'm not good at this self-promotion thing. Look, you want to know about me? just visit these websites. Okay?
