Okay, you know, I love Star Trek. Honestly... I really love Star Trek... especially the original series Star Trek.
I liked the last movie. I didn't want to, but I did. I wanted to like the sequel as well but...
What the hell is this?
I've been here and there. I've drawn a lot of pictures. I've written a bit, too. I'm not good at this self-promotion thing. Look, you want to know about me? just visit these websites. Okay?

Yeah, doesn't look typically Star Trekish, does it? But maybe they're boldly going into new territories and plot lines?
any similarity to Gene Roddenberry's Star Trek is purely coincidental!
I called it "The Trek Knight Rises" in my posts. Hard to shake the similarities after seeing those posters.
We start with a Twilight Blue-Tinted Funeral scene (I wonder who dies?) followed by a monologue about "Vengeance" with shots of Kirk in the ribbed jacket and Benedict in a makeshift Starfleet uniform. The Japanese trailer even includes a shot of Kirk and Spock touching hands across a glass partition.
So yeah, it looks like an yet another attempt to copy "Wrath of Khan", just like the last movie and the one before that.
Let Batman be the one to go "Into Darkness", Star Trek is supposed to be about New Life, this is just going back and doing the same thing all over again.
If it's called Star Trek I'll give it a chance. I have mixed results with this strategy, considering I only liked two out of the five tv series. Still, I enjoyed the last Trek movie. I'll watch this one, too.
I'm thinking Ridley Scott has traveled into the future. All we need is Sigourney Weaver in a Mech-Forklift and we're good.
