FAIRYTALE OF NEW YORK

There aren't many Christmas songs that include lyrics like: "You scumbag. You maggot. You cheap, lousy faggot." Yet FAIRYTALE OF NEW YORK by the Pogues and Kirsty McColl, still manages to have a haunting, lyrical quality.

So, given what has been visited on New York (and other areas of the U.S.) this year, I think this bittersweet Christmas song is an appropriate choice.

Merry Christmas everyone. Stay warm.

I've been here and there. I've drawn a lot of pictures. I've written a bit, too. I'm not good at this self-promotion thing. Look, you want to know about me? just visit these websites. Okay?

This year I have two promises I made to myself...one is to return to New York and the other is to visit you and enjoy a nice summer week in the mountains...or near the mountains. Now that I am getting all skinny I want to travel everywhere.

I love this song. A realistic view of how Christmas all too often goes.

Wishing you and your family all the best!
