IT'S BEEN QUIET...

...too quiet. This is all I've managed to finish (and I use that word in its most liberal sense) in the last week.

I haven't had much going on aside from my posts at the AMAZING STORIES website. I haven't done much artwork in the past little while. One of the reasons was that I became a grandfather. My older daughter had a baby three weeks ago.

And I guess I feel about as old as this guy, though hopefully not as evil-looking.

I've been here and there. I've drawn a lot of pictures. I've written a bit, too. I'm not good at this self-promotion thing. Look, you want to know about me? just visit these websites. Okay?

Congrats Grandpa!

Is this based on Christopher Lee by any chance?

Way to go, Grandpa! Let the doting begin!

I think your portrait looks like Christopher Lee too, maybe in The Wicker Man?

Well your whole world changed with a grandchild. Good on you mate though you really did nothing but help make the child's mother. Must be a trip. Suddenly everything is about the baby. I am glad I know I am too cursed and too selfish to know your joy.

Oh and Debra, what is with you and the WICKER MAN lately. You have referenced that movie several times this week. I hope you are talking about the original and not the Nick Cage remake.

Thanks, guys. My whole world didn't change much other than now I feel even older than I did before. Honestly, at this age the baby does little more than eat, sleep and fuss and Grandpa's not really wanted during the eating and sleeping. And since she is actually my step-daughter I didn't help make the baby's Mom, though I did help raise her to be the Mom that she is.

The fact that they live a six-hour drive away also makes for a very tiring visit, so the joy is mitigated a bit.

As for any resemblance to Christopher Lee, it is purely coincidental.

Congrats on the grandparenting thing. I'm told that's the fun part, when you can evilly spoil the kid and subvert your own kids' teachings!
