Despite their claims of being huge and dramatic, it's a curiously dispassionate song.
ReplyDeleteWell, The Walkmen usually have a fairly understated sound, so for them this is big and dramatic.
ReplyDeleteAnd they're from New York, so they would probably say it was more "ironic detachment" rather than dispassion.
